The International Conference on Fog, Fog Collection, and Dew has met every 3 years since its inception in Vancouver, Canada, in 1998. This is the first time the conference was held in the United States and its first time in North America since 2001. The conference is hosted under the auspices of the International Fog and Dew Association. The 10th conference will be held in 2026 in Pune, India.
The 9th International Conference on Fog, Fog Collection, and Dew (FOGDEW2023) expects that all participants who attend any conference sessions or activities behave with full respect for peers, colleagues, students, staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and everyone across the conference community. We aim to have every aspect of the conference and its associated activities foster and encourage an inclusive, positive, and welcoming environment for all. The conference was held in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. We met on the campus of Colorado State University. Conference platform and poster sessions were held in the Lory Student Center Ballrooms B, C, and D. The Sunday evening ice-breaker reception and the Thursday evening Conference Banquet were held at the CSU Canvas Stadium. Click here for a campus map.
More than 170 abstracts were submitted from 27 countries, continuing the strong international tradition of the conference. The conference will include 4 featured talks, 60 oral presentations, and 110 poster presentations. An icebreaker welcome reception is planned for 5-7 PM Sunday evening, July 23rd, and a conference banquet including live Bluegrass music by the Hummin’Birds, will be held 6:30-9:30 PM Thursday July 27th. A full-day conference technical excursion is planned to nearby Rocky Mountain National Park on Wednesday, July 26th.
Platform presentations are arranged in 15 minute timeslots. Your talk should not exceed 12 minutes to allow 3 minutes of discussion. Session chairs will enforce speaking time limits. Speakers will upload presentations on-site prior to their session. Please provide a PowerPoint (preferred) or .pdf copy of your presentation for upload. Please use a 16:9 format for your slides.
Posters can be put up starting Monday at lunch and remain mounted until Friday morning. The maximum poster size is 42 x 42 inches (107 x 107 cm).
